Slightly raised fbc - reposting

Looking for some reassurance on slightly abnormal fbc tests results.....

Had a surgery on my hand last Nov and had full blood count as part of pre-op.

All went well and nobody mentioned the results.

During the follow up appointment I asked the surgeon and he showed me the results- there are slightly raised rbc, wbc, hemoglobin and platelets. They would be in normal generic nhs ranges but not in my hospital range. Eg. Platelets is 450, range 150-400, even though many ranges are still 150-450.

I will make an appointment with my GP but would a preoperative stress, broken hand and the fact that the test was done out of the blue possibly elevate the readings?
