What has grown my mystery ice sculpture?

Mystery ice sculpture grown at 45’ from a water bowl left out for the birds. End isn’t touching the sun dial. Looks perfectly clear water apart from bubbles. Taken at the end of the day after the sun has been out, so perhaps would have been a different shape before the sun melted?

We have had 2 votes for feather at home!
Just wondering that there is no evidence of the feather in the ice and it’s quite thick

Thanks for that - I love it when there turns out to be a scientific explanation for anything odd! Off to make ice lanterns...
