Boring question - how much milk do I need for my event?

Half a day, 90 people (75 adults, 15 children primary age or under), arriving for lunch and there until late into the evening (but beer etc available later). Mainly cow milk drinkers (8 vegans).

Anyone used to organising such things who can help??

Are they going to be drinking glasses of milk or is it for tea and coffee? If tea and coffee i would guess 6-8 litres?

TakeYourFinalPosition · 17/01/2023 18:21

Do you mean for coffees etc; or are these people that you know drink glasses of milk as drinks often?

Mrsjayy · 17/01/2023 18:24

I'd get 10 litres just incase if its for tea and coffee .

SummerHouse · 17/01/2023 18:24

Presumably you mean for tea and coffee and it's not a meeting of the milk appreciation association then 6 litres and one for luck (plus some almond milk for vegans I guess).

Sadik · 17/01/2023 18:27

Yes, it's for teas/coffees, sorry! I guess the very little children might drink some milk (only 2 or 3 of them)

10 litres split mostly cow milk and a couple of litres oat milk sounds like it should be plenty then. (I think several of the non-vegans would actually happily drink oat milk.)

In case anyone's wondering, it's for a club event and we've had a much bigger takeup than I expected!
I'm frantically doing sums on how much bread / soup / cheese everyone is likely to eat too & rounding up extra volunteers Grin

I’d get 3 x 6 litre jugs.

I'd say 1 litre would do 10 people for 2 teas/coffees, so around 9 litres plus a couple of litres of alternatives.
