Off work poorly but if I feel like it we’re supposed to be having griddled garlic & rosemary lamb steaks, double cream mash & broccoli.

Roast chicken and salad

Keepitweird · 17/01/2023 15:20

Broccoli & Stilton soup once I've chopped stuff and put it in the soup maker 😈

peachescariad · 17/01/2023 15:24

H/m Souvlaki chicken kebabs and pilau rice, wraps and tzatziki

Season0fTheWitch · 17/01/2023 15:36

Individual homemade chicken pies, mash, veg and gravy. DD2 only like pie pastry so I've done a little shell for her, DD5 only likes the filling so she's having a ladle full of it.
DH is home alone for dinner tomorrow so I've made him a curry to warm up

lunathestral · 17/01/2023 15:58

breaded fish, sliced crisp potato's & veg

undercoverhero74 · 17/01/2023 16:02

Chinese chicken stir fry here, although all your dinners seem way more appealing. I may have to change my mind 🤣

CrispyTofu · 17/01/2023 16:04

Hoisin tofu with noodles, broccoli and kimchi

Blueberrycreampie · 17/01/2023 16:07

Mince, potatoes and cabbage. I also have a big pot of veg simmering away in chicken stock ( from Sunday's roast) so it will be either or. Probably mince tonight and soup tomorrow?

I love this but had it last night. Enjoy!

SirenSays · 17/01/2023 16:13

Korean fire chicken with cheese served with rice and probably salad to get some extra veggies in

SillyYak · 17/01/2023 16:14

That Mumsnet classic, chicken cacciatore with roast potatoes.

Going to knock out a bolognaise sauce for tomorrow too while I’m in the kitchen if I can find the energy.

Rebel2023 · 17/01/2023 16:15

Beef and black bean chill with veg

Surely2023IsTheYearForMyRainbowBaby · 17/01/2023 16:28

Beef in black bean sauce with rice RM

rosemarycait96 · 17/01/2023 16:31

Mac n cheese, using a Mary Berry recipe and it's my first time making a roux in over a year. I'm terrible at making roux, I either burn it first or I can't get the sauce thick enough after I've made it. Wish me luck.

TangledWebOfDeception · 17/01/2023 16:35

@rosemarycait96 you can make it by adding all ingredients (milk, butter, flour) to the pan in one go right from the beginning! Just keep stirring until combined, whilst bringing to the boil. It will end up exactly as it would were you to do each step separately.

No need to bother with a roux, just add all the ingredients at once and stir continuously Smile

ForestofD · 17/01/2023 17:01

No idea. OH currently banging around in the kitchen, so we will see what emerges.....

SunshineLollipopsAndRainbows · 17/01/2023 17:02

Some lovely meals here - I’m inspired for other days.
Doublecream in mash is a game changer! It’s so good!

Pea and ham soup and cheese on toast.

berksandbeyond · 17/01/2023 17:14

Cottage pie with broccoli and green beans. Comfort food on a cold day!
DH doesn’t like cottage pie (weirdo) so he’s having sea bass.

purplecorkheart · 17/01/2023 17:16

Some kind of pasta with Leek and bacon as they need to be used up. There is some cream in the fridge as well.

MrsH497 · 17/01/2023 17:17

Sausage casserole with caramelised onion chutney. Recipe from a friend and bloody lovely
