Getting dried emulsion out of suede slippers?

DH has just realised he has a splodge of dried water-based emulsion on his suede slippers. Is there any hope for its removal?

Warm water and a soft brush would be what I'd use. This is the best first world problem I've seen😉.

You could try and freeze them and it might crack off
