About a fortnight

Inkythemouse · 15/01/2023 19:59

I work in a Post Office one of our customers had theirs back in 5 days last week

Doormatnomore · 15/01/2023 20:00

Once they got there (which was 4 and 10 days) they were process in 1 or 2 days. I couldn’t believe it.

Adviceneeded200 · 15/01/2023 20:01

15 days in November

If you google passport waiting times a checker updated with people's experience for the different type of applications.

May be a bit more demand now the price rises have been announced.

Similar here. The post took 10 days to get the old passport there but it was approved and printed the day after they acknowledged receipt. On its way now

It took about 6 days when I got mine back a couple of weeks ago.

teenagetantrums · 15/01/2023 20:09

About 6 days for my daughter in November

TrentCrimm · 15/01/2023 20:09

11 day turnaround at the end of November/beginning December and that includes a slight delay in getting the old one back to them due to RM strikes.

Just did online, with a photo taken on my phone.

I done my 2 x kids renewal applications on 30 Dec and posted old passports back on 31.12.22 but due to bank hols, they didn't actually start moving until 03 Jan. I received my email on 13.01.23 to say the passports are now being printed I've had regular update emails so good tracking of all the stages. I expect to receive them through the door in another week or so.

Sent it Tuesday just gone, got a text to say it had been printed and was in its way to the couriers yesterday, so hopefully back within a few days. Much less than the 10 weeks on the website.

BromCavMum · 15/01/2023 20:50

My two kids were 13 days in October. I did the online application

HammergoHammer · 15/01/2023 21:07

Incredible!

Did our renewals online , sent the old passports back and even with the delay in the old passports arriving at the passport office ( strike by post workers ) the new passports were back in 9 days

And just to complete the story, my new passport has arrived back today, so the whole process has taken under a week.

Took under a week from posting it off to receiving my new one back through the door. My lesson was that winter passport renewal is the way ahead!

DismantledKing · 16/01/2023 13:44

4 days last week. Impressed!

PeacheyPeach · 16/01/2023 21:35

Hiya we need to renew the DCs passports. Am going to do it online. Do we still need someone to confirm their identity?

MarmiteCoriander · 16/01/2023 21:38

I renewed mine in I think Aug/Sep last year. Got mine returned in 6 weeks which at the time, seemed incredible- considering some people had 10-12 week waits at that time! Seems to be much quicker now though.

Oneshoetwoshoeredshoeblushoe · 16/01/2023 21:40

Sent an application 19th December -so still strikes, backlogs and Christmas & new year-got it back 3rd Jan.

BashfulClam · 16/01/2023 22:20

Sent mine last Monday and got it back on Friday. So under a week.
