Might go food shopping later and maybe for a walk
but this time of year is challenging !!

Nothing much planned, it is a lovely but cold and sunny day. I'll probably go for a swim do a yoga class on my fitness app, laundry and bed change. Sort out my work clothes for the week ahead as I'm away for a couple of nights.

I do need to go and sort out a few things in my garden that were blown over/all over the place.

I love low key Sundays.

pictoosh · 15/01/2023 11:09

I'm about to replace my son's bike chain. There will be swearing. Then hopefully a cycle.
Will have to shop for food later. Yick.

Ragwort · 15/01/2023 11:12

Very little planned, DH away so have the house to myself ... now DH is retired and I am still working I have little time to just 'do nothing on my own' ... I had a lie in, coffee and reading in bed, finished some ironing, a few small chores and catch up on my choice of tv. Will try to factor in a short walk to get some fresh air. Prepare a nice welcome home meal for DH later ...

Brigante9 · 15/01/2023 11:12

Walking round the block with a very lame dog then keeping the blasted leg elevated, possibly have another clot.

chocolatebuttonlover · 15/01/2023 11:13

Off to London to see friends for lunch, am bringing DH as backup to help with 18-month DD so am hoping for a peaceful tantrum free time! Grin

CoodleMoodle · 15/01/2023 11:16

Been for a run and had a bath, currently drying my hair (and having five minutes peace!). DH is in the shower, DC are playing with their toy hamsters. Its very loud but they're getting on and I'm not going to interrupt until someone cries (they will).

After lunch we're going to walk up to Hobbycraft/B&M for a few things. Then a bit of homework, dinner and bed. I'll probably collapse in front of the TV with my latch hook, or listen to a podcast and play a video game.

BettySweaty · 15/01/2023 11:20

Had a shower, currently sat in my dressing gown contemplating...... Need to walk the dogs, do a load of washing and drying, need to tidy the kitchen, make an evening meal for 5.... Not the most exciting of days

ThreeRingCircus · 15/01/2023 11:20

I made pancakes for breakfast (not a normal weekend affair, usually it's a slice of toast but inspiration struck.)

DDs have been playing, DH has been pottering doing god knows what and I've done a bit of tidying up in the garden as it's looking a mess. I pruned a couple of shrubs though and will weed the borders next weekend.

Just lazing around now drinking tea. We're going out for a Sunday roast for dinner which I'm really excited for. Then home to watch a film, do DDs bedtime and chill this evening.

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 15/01/2023 11:25

A day with my eldest, just the two of us. We are going to play with the toys he can't really get out because his one year old brother would destroy them.

And he's going to help me put some things in the loft, which is super exciting to a six year old, apparently.

bumder33 · 15/01/2023 11:28

Been for a stroll this morning with my ds and grabbed a hot chocolate while we were out. Going for a Sunday pub lunch later with family. When we get home we might go for another walk (it's lovely and sunny here!) and then settle down for the evening with a series. Once dc are in bed I will do a bedtime yoga class and have a bath, skincare etc then listen to a podcast before bed. I'm trying to do this every Sunday eve to set myself up for the week ahead. Having said that I've got a particularly grouchy baby so I'm not sure if she'll sleep long enough to let me!

AuntieEntity · 15/01/2023 11:30

I've got to take all the washing to the launderette as my machine at home has died a death. I've also got to pump up the tyres on DDs bike and do general housework. We don't leave the house on a Sunday, but it's probably one of my busiest days of the week.

VioletCharlotte · 15/01/2023 11:42

Ive just been to Asda and done a food shop and I'm now having a coffee and scrolling Mumsnet. It's the first day in what seems like eons when it's not raining so I'm going to head for a walk with the dog shortly. This afternoon I'm planning to go to the gym (should have gone first thing, but didn't get up) and I think my mum is popping for a cuppa. Need to change the sheets and do some more laundry. Looking forward to Call The Midwife and the new series of Vera tonight. Living the dream, lol!

Giggorata · 15/01/2023 11:42

Nothing much.
Washing, tidying, watching the Snooker, listening to The Third Body Problem on YouTube, perhaps a bit of mending and button sewing.
DH has done a beef casserole in the slow cooker, so I'm not cooking.

One thing I will be doing is making myself a really chocolatey and luxurious hot chocolate.

The one I had at the cinema yesterday was disgusting and I couldn't drink it. Apparently, the chocolate powder had run out and I got brownish powdered milk drink - and a refund. The next one I bought at a well known drive through was just like brown water, again, tasting of nothing much, and I threw it away.
Today's will be perfect!

alsonotmyname · 15/01/2023 11:45

Taking dc swimming and the home for a lazy afternoon and a low key roast, might watch a film with eldest dd tonight

Girasoli · 15/01/2023 11:47

We've just come back from Mass where both DC behaved (success! DS2 it's 50/50 if he'll try and run away down the aisle 😆)

Going to have pasta and meatballs then fruit and icecream for lunch.

Then DC will take DC to the playground and I'll do housework so everything is nice again for Monday.

PinkiOcelot · 15/01/2023 11:49

Sitting drinking a cuppa. Tesco shop been delivered so need to put that away. Also have cleaning and tidying to do. Wish I could just sit and do nothing all day!

Girasoli · 15/01/2023 11:49

(DH will take DC, they're a bit young to take themselves!)

BeetyAxe · 15/01/2023 11:52

Knackered as it’s been full on since Christmas and a big family event last week. So slept in, drinking tea and eating chocolate. Then will potter around tidying and getting ready for the week ahead, stick some roast chicken in the oven and maybe take advantage of the fact it’s not raining and go for a walk.

JustJustWhy · 15/01/2023 12:55

Absolutely fuck all. Bliss.

clary · 15/01/2023 13:05

Low key...been for swim, done yoga, run in the park. Couple of jobs on my to-do list done.

Taking ds1 to gf and dd to friend...might have long bath with book before doing some admin for a club I volunteer for. Very relaxed.

AnotherCountryMummy · 15/01/2023 13:05

Just stopped for lunch. We are at a local garden type attraction with 3 DCs. Going to call into my parents on the way home for a cuppa and then a chilled evening.
