black forest gateaux

I would do 80s/90s school dinners but nice and homemade, with iced sponge and pink custard to finish.
Entertainment would be a 90s pop quiz.

I love that program!
I would make soup with homemade bread, something like peas with Parmesan crisps.
Main would be Korean fish cakes with fried egg and spicy salsa. Small portions, but I would bring the rest to the table, so they can dip into more should they want some.
Desert would be warm brownies with homemade vanilla ice cream and raspberry coulis.

I would have breadsticks with various dips for in between courses (feta and pistachio, baba ganoush, muhammara)and ask them to guess what they are etc), fruit and cheese platter, shots, red and white wine, very strong coffee.

For entertainment, some sort of trivia.

Having watched the show, I've usually those you cook with the 'safer' ingredients that seem. So for example, I often cook with blue cheese but it's one of those things that a lot of people dislike so I'd probably avoid it if cooking for guests I don't know.
My preference would be to cook a fish dish but would probably stick to the most common fish (cod, prawns, salmon) as again fish can divide people.

I'd jump around the world a bit for each

So maybe mini Thai fish cakes (using cod and prawns), no too much chilli with a simple ribbon salad and dressing.

Then I'd do a pasta dish, with linguine, nduja, a gorgeous roasted tomato, fennel and pepper sauce. A lemon and Parmesan crumb and homemade garlic dough balls. (I'd probably have to learn to make linguine though.)

Then for pud I'd make by legendary creme brûlée's with home made raspberry coulis and homemade ginger snaps.

Entertainments not my thing so I'd probably hire a local singer/musician or band!

I don't really know about a starter. Bit clueless there. Something mushroom or pepper related?
Main I would maybe do home made fish fingers, hand cut chips with a variety of hand made sauses (but with Heinz tomato sauce for those that prefer it - ie me 😂).
When I have fishfingers and chips I never have anything with it but maybe I would do a selection of sides like homemade baked beans and home made mushy peas.
Desert would be some type of cheesecake or maybe individual Knickerbocker Glories.
Entertainment would be various Lego challenges. Everyone would go home with a small Lego set as a gift.

Starter would be Thai fish cakes with rocket and green salad, veg option goats cheese tartlet
Main would be steak and triple cooked chips with peppercorn sauce, veg option would be mushroom stroganoff
