Thermos brand are good, it kind of depends on what you consider a portion. The tins say that half a tin is a portion which i strongly disagree with.

We have one of the thermos brand kids ones which holds a half tin for DD and keeps it lovely and warm till lunch.

Thanks. It’s for homemade but probably at least a tins worth.

My kids have the adult thermos ones - they fit a whole tin of soup in and keep food warm for ages

We have two of the Thermos brand ones, the standard and the ‘king’. They’re excellent for the job. The standard is a good size for soup, the king is good for other meals that need a little more space, like pasta etc.

Thermos..... DD has been using one for years to take food to school / college.
Cost more to buy but worth it.
Saved us a firtunne over the years

I have a Chillis one, well a food flask but I use it for soup too.
I make it in a morning around 7:30am and it is still really hot at 12:30 for lunch.

Definitely Thermos - I use mine most weeks for soup, dal, stews etc and everything is always piping hot 4/5 hours later, even if the flask isn’t full. You can also get replacement seals and parts easily.

I have a chillis one and my food is always cold! What is the secret? ( I also have a bottle and that works brilliantly which is why I got the flask! )

We have 2 SHO food flasks. Has built in cutlery in the lids. Not expensive, keeps food hot or cold. Lovely colours. Got a second as it was in demand in the family.

Preheat the flask by filling it with boiled water and putting the lid of for at least 5 minutes. Then empty it and put your hot food in.

My daughters we will fill with hot food at 7/8am and it's still piping hot at lunch time which is about 12.30pm.

My kids have a sho and a thermos food flasks. Both the same size inside but the thermos (470ml) is smaller overall and therefor i prefer it (Although the sho one does come in nicer colours).

Italiandreams · 14/01/2023 12:18

@FatAgainItsLettuceTime , thank you. Have tried boiling water but maybe not for long enough. Will try again.

Sucessinthenewyear · 14/01/2023 12:37

Consensus seems thermos then. Thanks everyone.
