Don't want to go into much detail but after splitting up with my DC dad I had to start claiming benefits.
I've started working 2 days a week since as she's only 20 months and currently in a process of developing my own freelancing business which I am hoping will become my full time job this year. My goals is to gradually come off UC ASAP as I am healthy and capable to work and provide to my daughter and myself.
I've been feeling awful that I'm calming as I imagine there's people who physically can't work.
I guess my question is once I start earning from my freelancing do I have to let them know my earning and they will start reducing my payment until I'm not entitled to anything?
Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but

Not stupid question. But you shouldn't feel guilty for claiming something that you're entitled to and need. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but I think they will calculate your payment from your earnings. Speak to citizens advice who are really good at advising and helping you with your claim.
