Where to buy decent socks?

I keep on buying normal ankle socks that turn out to be overly thin, won't stay up or are just poor quality in some other way.

I just need plain black ones, no fancy designs or patterns and colours.

Any recommendations?

Try TK Maxx ... bamboo socks ?

I buy M&S school socks, just plain black & navy for me. Quality not as good as they used to be, but ok for the cost and easy to match up after washing!

You might need to pay more, walking socks tend to last longest and are super comfy, they don't tend to come in black, probably some out there though, otherwise sports socks might do?

Boots have really good quality socks on a par with M&S, I can particularly recommend t the bamboo ones

I used to buy M&S socks and I noticed the quality isn't what it was. I suppose you'd expect that as the price hasn't gone up much...something has to give.
