Soft play/indoor play in Leicester

Hi, we are currently staying in Leicester and I'm looking to take my kids to an indoor play centre of some description tomorrow. My eldest is 10, and I can see that several of the play centres say 'up to 12' but which is actually best for older children?

we are really going as a treat for my 7 year old, but want to make it as pleasant as possible for my older one.

my younger one hates trampoline, so the bounce play is out unfortunately.

TIA

Fun Valley in Evington? funvalley.co.uk/ It's awful like they all are but is quite big & light and has quite a challenging climbing wall for the 10 year old.

Is that the one next door to what has to be the world’s least quiet mosque? You’re giving me flashbacks!

Does it have to be in the city centre? if not then Twin lakes at melton Mowbray is great for that age range although more like a small theme park but has a huge soft play barn. Likely a lot more expensive than just soft play.

That's right! Squashed next to the mosque. And a random factory chimney.

@Babyroobs Great suggestion

Sunnyside Adventure Play is massive, about a 25 min drive from Leicester city centre, 1 junction down the M1 so you'll need a car.

In Leicester city itself or near enough you have:

  • fun valley - Evington Valley are
  • Go Kids Go - Near Freemans common/football stadium
  • Play 360 - Meridian Business Park
  • ninja Warrior at St George's Retail Park

@Babyroobs Great suggestion

It is such a fantastic place, although been a while since we went there but used to have season tickets when my kids were young. kids loved the go-karts and the soft ball shooting alley thingey- not sure if that is still there?

HollyBollyBooBoo · 13/01/2023 22:03

Play 360 at Meridian is good.

Other option could be Social Climbing at the John Lewis end of the HighCross. It's loads of climbing walls of varying difficulty.

Or a completely different option would be Leicester Outdoor Pursuits at Redhill Roundabout for the aerial climbing stuff or kayaking or archery.

Parklands Oadby but 360 or Go Kids Go if not. Fun Valley is hell on Earth.

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately the more outdoors places were closed but we have come to Go Kids Go which a couple of you mentioned and they seem happy, so your ideas are much appreciated. I will be keeping Twin Lakes in mind for when we back up in the summer

Bermuda Adventure in Nuneaton is FAB.
