Not sure what's going on here after the 7% was rejected but imposed...

Wonder if England will follow suit!

? Not sure why any agreed rise would just be backdated to January?

I'm assuming January 2023..?

A lot of my friends work for NHS Scotland and some are reliant on the promise of backdated pay, so I imagine this will upset a few people maybe? I'm slightly confused with it tbh

The already imposed rise will be backdated to April 22 with any additional increase from Jan 23 I assume?

That makes sense! Thanks for clarifying.

Not sure why this wasn't all agreed in the place

I'm assuming April 2023. I've had to read it a few times to try make sense

From what I can gather from the new Scottish negotiations is that the 22/33 offer has been imposed and will be in salaries from Jan 2023 with back dated pay from April 2022 in Febs pay.

The unions have a 6 week extension on strikes on the understanding that the SG agree a significant offer for 23/24 by the end of Jan and that if agreed it's is pay from April 2023 instead of waiting 9 months like the current offer.

I'm not sure what the unions regard as a significant offer but surely they must have a percentage in mind that they feel is acceptable enough to take back to their members.
