Lost 6 pounds this week - I have to tell someone.

Not one to brag, ever. BUT, after losing both my mum and my dad last year, and then my job, I’ve been comfort eating to say the least.

Previously had a lot of success with the low sugar and carb diet, ( my family have a tendency towards diabetes) so tried that again, and joined a gym. 6 pounds! It’s given me the boot up the arse I needed.

Luckily I am still not working so have the time on my hands to keep it up for a few months, and get back to where I felt happy (around 10 stone).

sorry for your loss of your mum and dad and also coping with losing a job - but a big bloody well done on losing 6 pounds

Sorry for your losses Flowers

Congrats on the weight loss. Can I ask if you are following any regime with diet and gym. I've just hit obese and working myself up to join the gym as a big intimidated. The more I think about dieting the more im tempted to eat Confused

Congrats - that’s a fantastic start!

Do you have a lot to lose? I only ask because people with a lot to lose tend to have bigger losses to start with? I want to get to 10 stone (current 11.10) but I never lose more than 1-2lbs per week, it’s annoying!

Badgerloco · 13/01/2023 17:16

I’m 12 stone now. I’d like to be around ten stone, maybe less, so like I say it’s a start, but it’s made me feel good for the first time in at least a year. Michael Mosley fast 800 diet - really kickstarts your progress which is what I need to get into it. A stone in 21 days is really doable.

I am doing an hour cardio, resistance machines and then a swim if I feel like it. Dance or yoga at home on the days I don’t get to the gym. thanks for the kind wishes, it’s certainly been a lot to deal with.
