Did recurrent implantation failure blood tests work for you? šŸ”‘

I’m putting this in Chat because Infertility is often a quiet/hidden topic, plus I am looking for those who went on to have a successful pregnancy!

I have ā€˜unexplained’ infertility, which essentially means that there is something wrong but we just haven’t found out what it is yet. All our tests to date have come back ā€˜perfect.’

I have had three IVF embryo transfers and they haven’t worked, no implantation at all.

My clinic are suggesting I do RIF blood tests to look at clotting/thrombophilia and my immune system. The tests are not cheap and my GP won’t do them on the NHS.

So my question is, for anyone who has had these tests, did they actually provide an answer? Did they throw up a previously undiagnosed clotting and/or immune problem, which was then treated and you went on to have a successful pregnancy?

I am trying to work out the chances that the results will be helpful and worth the great expense. Thank you.

Sorry I can't help with this test, but have you done karyotyping?

The karyotyping would be part of this test; although the clinic say there is limited research evidence for it and so the main thing they’d be looking at are the potential immune / clotting issues.
