Anyone have dentures

I had all my bottom teeth removed. And given dentures which I can't wear they are just awful. I Need to get all my top teeth removed. I'm told a top denture is much easier to wear. And the roof of my mouth with give some sort of suction to keep them in. Is that true?

Have you considered implants, they are great

Yes it is true about top dentures being easier and using suction, they seem to just stay in place, I have partials, lots of teeth missing, and the bottom ones I have to use fixative, I never use it on the top ones. The top ones I barely notice at all and forget they are there

I’m pretty sure the OP has considered implants but @ around 20k for top and bottom sets it’s unlikely to be in budget for the majority of people.

You may be able to get implants, it depends on how much bone you have if you can easily have them. I can't easily as I would have to bone grafts so not such a simple procedure also I am older so probably not worth it for me

I am getting implants. I have paid for my bottom ones just waiting for healing before I can have the teeth fitted . I'm now saving for the top ones. But when I have My top teeth removed I will need dentures for a bit.

I was going to suggest maybe see if you can save for at least bottom implants as the top dentures are generally fine, it is the bottom ones that usually cause problems.

I have saved for bottom I'm just waiting for the bone to heal around the screws to have the actual teeth attached . I'm saving up for the top. But im thinking it's going to look really silly . Nice bottom teeth and messed up top ones, whilst I save . So in thinking to get the top taken out and denture whist I save for the upper implants.
