of racially aggravated assault. Hope they throw the book at him.

I was struck by his comment about wanting to offer her some tickets to a Blue concert. Just what every victim of crime wants, tickets to watch the guy who racially abused and assaulted her. What a chump.

This man is an absolute idiot and deserves all he gets.

Guavafish1 · 12/01/2023 22:43

I know he was up for assault charges but didn't know it was racially motivates.

Pathetic

ttcstop · 12/01/2023 22:52

He's always been a complete dick. A disgrace.

His career (or what's left of it) it's now fucked well and truly.

Who wants blue tickets?!!! Is he having a laugh. What a pathetic man.

ClemDanFango · 12/01/2023 22:57

His defending comments make him sound like the empty headed knuckle dragger that he is. Vile bastard.

OneFrenchEgg · 12/01/2023 22:57

Is it just the one charge he was found guilty of? The reporting didn't make it clear as there were others I think.

OneFrenchEgg · 12/01/2023 23:02

NM found it in the DM

Ryan was found guilty at Ealing Magistrates' Court of being drunk on an aircraft, assaulting a police officer by biting him, racially aggravated common assault by beating and behaving in an abusive way towards the cabin crew member.

burnoutbabe · 12/01/2023 23:03

Legally it's an interesting one as it seems to infer that any reference to race makes it s racially aggregated crime.

(Not trying to minimise what he did/said but I think he'd say equally ignorant things to any woman he was drunkenly trying to speak to, thinking be was complementing them somehow)

I shall have to see what the repercussions of this decision is (though it's magistrates court so decision not binding on any other court)

burnoutbabe · 12/01/2023 23:06

I missed that he also assaulted her (itv earlier seemed to just say he was talking to her)

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 12/01/2023 23:06

He should also have been done for sexual harassment. Also he clearly thinks a lot of himself if he thought he was going to win her round by giving her free concert tickets.

Handsnotwands · 12/01/2023 23:09

He was a clearly disgusting person on big brother years ago. Totally lacking in any kind of decency, charm or empathy. I can’t actually remember what he did in particular, just that he was an awful person.

what a knob

Spookysparkles · 12/01/2023 23:21

Saw him on the train once years ago stumbling about drunk, strutting up and down the aisles telling everyone to stop taking pictures of him. But, erm - No one was taking any pictures …….
what a nob 😂

Spookysparkles · 12/01/2023 23:22

Seriously though, very embarrassing and disrespectful behaviour on the flight, I’m glad the aircraft staff reported him and something is being done about it.

Margot78 · 12/01/2023 23:31

I find his response to it particularly disturbing. He assaulted her and he dismisses it as banter?!! He even offers her Blue tickets as if he thinks she must adore him really. She is a victim of assault, why on earth would she want to be in a room again with the perpetrator?

Also, I might add that as someone who has had to pay hundreds of pounds in child therapy after my dd was traumatised witnessing a drunken person attacking another person, I strongly sympathise with anyone else on the plane who had the trauma of witnessing this frightening incident. His language and behaviour would have been completely intimidating. What a complete moron. I hope the poor woman has recovered from her ordeal and gets justice.

I'm surprised he wasn't shouting "Do you know who I am" 😂

Did they 'All rise' for the verdict?

I've never been able to work him out.

I've met him numerous times and he was always lovely. To be fair, the whole band were. Really lovely down to earth guys. He has some form of autism or adhd and when my son was diagnosed, he used to message me and tell me to encourage his creativity and never give up on him - not that I ever would! But I appreciated him reaching out at the time.

We were fb friends and one particular year we had extremely bad floods to the point where my friend and her family lost everything in their home. I posted a plea for help on Facebook and he messaged me to say he would like to send some of his designer clothes to either give to the family or sell to make some money for them. He had boxes of them.

This was all before he went on big brother - that was a huge downfall for him and he's never recovered.

I doubt he will receive jail time but I hope he gets a fair punishment. He's just got married and has 2 young daughters. I can imagine his wife is absolutely mortified.

Greenshake · 13/01/2023 00:48

He has a propensity for stupid behaviour and/or comments. I remember him putting his foot in it after 9/11.

CheesyCrumpet · 13/01/2023 07:16

Is he the racist one who told a waitress ( I think it was a waitress ) that he wanted her to have his chocolate coloured babies?
Disgusting odious racist.

Quirrelsotherface · 13/01/2023 07:21

He's always been a wrong 'un. He's said some very odd things over the years

TarasHarp55 · 13/01/2023 07:21

I remember how vile he was on Big Brother. Hope he gets dealt with severely.
