Has anyone been abroad for dental treatment

After being quoted £700 for a root canal treatment (nhs) I have been looking at clinics abroad. I don't want a hollywood smile, but my teeth are in a bit of a mess, and the thought of another tooth needing treatment, and potential crown makes me think i should just get the whole lot sorted (need implant, and would love some composite venneers). It will cost ££££ here and TBH i have never been that impressed with the work i have had already

You mean Turkey Teeth?

Mu colleague had them done and needed to see her regular dentist to sort an issue out, and he refused to see her. The issue was down to the veneer, and not something he was willing to fix.

be weary

I know of someone who goes back to their home country (Hungary) for dental treatment despite now being a British citizen, as they say it’s cheaper and the treatment is apparently better.

Where in the uk does the nhs charge £700 for root canal?

FIL lived in Spain for 20 years until last year. He’s been going back to get his teeth done.

I go back to my home country India for treatment. Cheaper and better.

I’ve seen some amazing dental work from Hungary Poland Portugal India Turkey and other places

ive also seen some absolutely shockingly bad dental treatments done by dentists abroad.

I’d say do tons of research first and even if you do go you can still decline even if you’re in the chair - trust your instincts

Having lived in Hungary I would feel most comfortable going there. Turkey is such a hot spot for medical and dental tourism now that I would be very wary. It is a huge money spinner for them so there are lots of unscrupulous clinics. You hear such horror stories.

I am seeing a UK dentist now who trained in Hungary.

Thanks all . The root canal price is normal for round here , London, and is an NHS practice .
im really not looking for perfect teeth , but think even the bare minimum is going to be £1000’s , going to have to look into finance and get them sorted here !
