We have just today been approved for a new home that we will rent.
We pay our current rent on the 25th of each month, and the new agent is asking what we would like our move in date to be.
I haven’t moved in a decade so I’m confusing myself, but, as we are in a rolling contract at our current place and need to give 4 weeks notice, surely it would make sense for us to sign and get the keys ASAP - within days?
Then we won’t owe another full month rent to current landlord and we can slowly start moving in.
Am I missing something here or does that sound like the best plan?
