Help! My car stinks!

I spilt some milk in the car the other day, didn’t realise it had got into the fabric and now the car stinks. Proper rancid farts.

Anybody got an idea how I can get rid of it? I’m not even sure where it spilt so I’m going to have to get my nose right in there <barf>

Bicarb Flash..
I feel your pain. Once had my super fab mechanic dh stressing over what was wrong with my car as it stunk of egg...
It was in fact an actual egg. Hard boiled picnic left over rolled under the seats!

Buy industrial quantities of bicarb and throw it all over the car, covering every inch of soft furnishing, including carpets. Leave for as long as you can. Vacuum it all up, clean any non soft surfaces with a strong smelling disinfectant. Sprinkle neat tea tree oil around, air the car. Hope for the best.

You could get them cleaned with a Vax type thing, but I never think they get properly dry afterwards and you run the risk of inviting mould in.

Pay for a thorough valeting.

I feel your pain. DH dropped a whole latte on DDs fabric car seat in the summer - you remember last summer right - weeks of 30 degrees + heat 😁?
Anyway, I’m sorry to have to report that after a few attempts at different methods, the only thing that worked was a professional specialist valet for said seat. That worked. Thank god.

Thanks all.

I'll try bicarb until payday and then I might need the valeting!
