My ex had made my life hell since I ended our relationship at 8 months pregnant because of his drinking. I had no support in pregnancy and he was a terrible partner. Our baby is 3 months now and when I claimed child maintenance he immediately asked for a dna test…this was totally predictable as he’s an awful person who cannot just accept why I left him. After the test he got in touch by email to ask me to accept a lower amount of maintenance and said he wants nothing to do with our child if it means he has to see me and he’s going to look at his options.
I haven’t replied and won’t. But what options does he have? I’ve seen contact centres and I’m worried he’s going to make up a lot of nonsense about me to create drama around seeing our daughter. He has money and will use it to make my life difficult if he wants. I’m so scared of what he will do next. The sad thing is I always said he could see DD but he never even acknowledged her birth. In the eyes of society he is respected as he has a good career and I’m so worried he’s going to drag me through the mud to try and get a contact centre in place?
