Upcoming biopsy results

Hi

I have been asked to attend an appointment at the hospital next week to discuss biopsy results.

I had LLETZ procedure a month ago after my smear came back with HPV and CIN3.

Whilst having the LLETZ they also took a biopsy. I was told I'd receive the results in the post, so now being called in to discuss I'm obviously worried Sad

Anyone have any similar experiences at what they may say? I don't want to assume the worst.

I got in touch with the hospital and was told the results are going to be discussed in a meeting with the specialists and will discuss it all with me next week. They wouldn't discuss results over the phone

@Bex4567 I was told the biopsy showed early stages of cancer hence why they wouldn't tell me over the phone. They said the LLETZ procedure would have got rid of it though. I had to have another LLETZ last week as more pre-cancer cells were found so hopefully that's all gone now!

Oh my goodness I'm so sorry you've been through that but then so glad they found it and have got rid of it...its such a worry isn't it I've had my second procedure 5 weeks ago for now...were you up to date with your smears

Ah I'm so sorry must be a really stressful time for you. Hopefully your LLETZ last week is the last you need to bother with it all.

@Bex4567 Did you have the same? They said I had CGIN (precancerous cells further up the canal of the cervix) so wanted to make sure everything was gone. They advised if this biopsy comes back with anything left I'll need a hysterectomy which is daunting!
I was up to date with my smears, never had cell changes before, so was very surprised when they said cancer was found.

No ive never been told I have cgin had 2 biopsys now and came back as cin 1,2..just had my second 6 month smear after last leetz and waiting the results its horrible im beside myself with worry ..how are you now
