Tingling hand

cheeseandquackerz · 11/01/2023 21:52

I have had a tingling sensation in my right wrist and hand for nearly three days now and it is there nearly all the time. I have been feeling quite stressed lately and been sleeping badly but other than that seem in relatively good health. I’m 46 years old, maybe a stone over weight but quite active.blood pressure one minute is high and the next normal on the machine we have at home. Not sure if I would be wasting a GP’s time if I tried to get an appointment or whether it can just be left for a few more days to see if it goes away. Any ideas what it could be? Or anyone had anything similar?

I would give the doctor a call and they can check you over. I sometimes get that in my hand and foot and was told it was anxiety and nothing to worry about

When I met my partner, I was SUPER tiny and toned with a high sex drive, working as a dancer.

3 years on, that's not me. We now have a baby, I want to be healthy but I can't maintain that tiny toned body anymore.

My sex drive isn't particularly high. I don't want to spend hours fake tanning and doing my eyelashes.

What do I do? Continue to put on a show? Being the person he first met and fell in love with?

Or do I surrender to the new less glamorous, slightly frumpier, mumsy me ... but isn't that unfair on him?

Advice???

Er wrong thread, @racheg ??

It could be carpal tunnel problems OP, Google it. An osteopath has helped with mine.

Or 'just' a trapped nerve or similar?

@cheeseandquackerz LOLLL SORRYYYYYY!

I'm new here- can ya tell?!🤣🤣🤣

Sounds like Carpal Tunnel
Can be brought on by hormonal changes where fluid puts pressure on the nerve or repetitive movements.
A tubigrip type compression bandage or wrist splint will help
Take ibuprofen if you can have it
( I've had it)

there could be lots of reasons for a tingling hand (try and ignore the username!) but it does need checking
