I have 6 kids ages 6,7,12,15,20,25

The 6,7,12 year olds are still very huggy. Always say I love you, sit with me to be close messages from the 12 year old with harts o love you type messages. General mum kiddie affection

With the older ones they are nothing like that . If I say love you or any type of affection they say say stuff like, aww gross , yuk. Weirdo and a few other things . But its said with banta -love

We have a fantastic bond. Always joking and bounce of each other well. Lots if chats.

Anyway my 15 year old is having help from CAMHS. They are always talking with him about our relationship. The affection side of it abd do we say love you. I tell my kids I love them every day.

I thought it was normal for teenagers to be simlar to mine when it comes to love you and affection towards parents. ?

Lots of kids hint at 'love you' in ways other than words. It sounds like yours show you in other ways. My mum has never said it to me, and I can count on one hand how many times I have said it to her, and it means nothing. We are very close and speak every day.
