WWYD?

DGPs are divorced. DC1 has a performance on an upcoming evening. I have asked DF to look after DC2 so that DH and I can both go to watch the performance. DM would like to go to the performance too. Initially this was a moot point, as there were no tickets available, but now one has become available. However I feel it might be unfair for DM to get to go while DF has to do childcare. WWYD?

I would keep up the pretence there are no tickets available.
A little white lie to save hurt feelings and a family fallout. it would feel pretty unfair to be doing the babysitting whilst the other GP got special treatment of being invited to see the performance.

I agree with this. There is no reason DM needs to go so just don't tell her she can.

Don't tell anyone a ticket has become available. What they dont know cant hurt them and jts just easier all round.

Yeah, I agree, just maintain that there's none available. Otherwise it seems unfair on your dad.
