How did you change your mindset?

I need to make some big changes in my life. And I know a lot of it the drive to make these changes comes from having a positive mindset.

At the moment I am pretty lazy. I have a negative attitude and I need to get my arse into gear.

If you have turned things around, what helped you get there? What helped you get motivated?

I recommend the book "why motivating people doesn't work and what does" by Susan Power -

Rather than thinking of it as a positive mindset, think of it as a growth mindset.

Laziness = a need for rest, play

A negative attitude = unexpressed anger. It’s okay to feel angry. Just find a good outlet for it where you can allow it and express it (journalling, therapy, trusted friend who can really hold it…)

Self-compassion might seem counter-intuitive but it’s the way through.

Stopped drinking alcohol and everything was easier.
