Hi

Just wondering if anyone has seen the film

Id love to see it but I've heard Otto attempts suicide. so my question is, do they show this or is it just spoken about. My son died from suicide, and I honestly couldn't watch this in a film!

I'm sorry about your son Flowers

Yes, much of the premise of the film is Otto wanting to commit suicide in various different ways. Parts could be upsetting for you.

Agree that if it's a sensitive subject it should definitely be avoided. Lovely film if not.

Haven’t seen the Hank’s version, but i have seen the swedish original, a man called Ove.

If sensitive to suicide, in the form of an older gentleman who is tired of being sad and alone in life, as others have said, please avoid.

But, i loved it and feel it’s more about living in little ways, than the suicide.

I’ve only watched the Swedish version, A man called Ove. It’s very, very good. Ove does try to commit suicide by hanging, asphyxiation and a gun to his head because he is so lonely and feels old. I don’t feel the film is about that though, it’s a lovely and important film, but you might want to avoid. I felt positive after watching it.

I am so sorry about your son, I can’t imagine what you are going through.
