Returning clothes advice

I’d like to return two items of clothing to Verbaudet. All tags are intact and they’ve only been tried on. However, on the Verbaudet returns instructions, it says that clothes must be returned in their original individual packaging (the trousers came in cellophane packets). Stupidly, I chucked that out. Will they not refund me? Thanks

I hardly ever return the plastic packaging, sometimes it goes in the bin and other times in other parcels.

As long as the item is refundable, is within the agreed returns time and has tags on, I’ve never had any issues.
