Help me find a Canaries holiday - so so fussy

Hi super fussy here, maybe what I want is unattainable! So we have an only DS, 14, and would like somewhere fun for him with at least the possibility of making a friend. He is not very sporty sadly, more gamey and nerdy. I guess it should be a resort - but it must have good self-catering apartments. Also we really hate the all inclusive vibe, and also loathe evening entertainment, but we would put up with this for son's sake if we had a nice apartment and a short walk to resort with nice restaurants of an evening. A heated outdoor pool would be a great bonus as would a nice beach close enough to walk to. My husband has some mobility problems, he can get around well enough but tires fairly easily so not too far to the nearest restaurants (say max 15 minutes walk preferably less). Absolutely definitely we do not want only on site restaurants. We are talking Easter. I know, it sounds impossible - can anyone help? Our budget is reasonably flexible but probably not five star

Lanzarote has lots of bungalow complexes that might suit. Finding the right one might take a bit of a trawl, but you could try looking on Jet2holidays, Vrbo and also just googling lanzarote bungalow communal heated pool and checking the location to make sure it's suitably central - most are in Playa Blanca, Costa Teguise or Puerto del Carmen - PB and CT are quite flat IIRC, but PdC is hilly in places so you might not want something up the hill in the old town to make it easier for DH.

I'm less familiar with CT and I think this is the less nice of the 3, it's more where you'd go for a cheap n cheerful AI place, my first choice would be PB or near to the marina in PdC.

Thank you! I will try your suggestions.

I was particularly interested in Tenerife, does anyone have suggestions?

What about one of the splash hotels? Stuff to do to keep him busy if nothing else.

I'm not familiar with the splash hotels, but I'll do a Google

We didn't go to the canaries in the end, haven't found the holy grail yet! Let me know if you do!
