How do people make iced lattes/coffees at home without coffee machines? Is it as simple as making a coffee and adding cold milk? Am I overthinking this too much?? 😂

I have a coffee machine but in the summer I make cold brew for iced coffee with just a jug and a filter.

Coffee powder, cold milk and ice cubes in the nutribullet which gives a nice frothy coffee. Or just make a really strong shot of instant coffee and add cold milk.

You can get sachets from the supermarket which you just stir or shake with milk/water, probably slightly more expensive but very easy

With instant coffee:
A) make a strong espresso size cup - for me it's normally 2/3 spoons of normal instant or a spoon of the azera espresso powder - with hot water. Cup of milk with ice cubes and then pour the coffee shot over.
B) a faff but a mini obsession for a while but a dalgona style coffee. 2 spoons of coffee, 1/2 of sugar, 1 teaspoon of water. Whisked until pale and frothy (highly recommend a milk frother), cup of cold milk and ice, then spoon coffee on top.

If you're willing to invest a little. Ground coffee (light roasts are better) in a cafetiere in the fridge overnight makes a black cold brew. Can add milk.

Could make up an instant I suppose and keep in the fridge. I think the trick is ice and drinking at fridge cold rather just making with tap temp water, which just tastes like a coffee gone cold.

Delicious utterly and very retro... very strong Gold Blend essence (as mellow) + dash maple syrup + milk....

just add enough hot water to gold blend to make a thick syrup....

keep in the fridge through summer - is absolutely fine for 2-3 weeks

I make a big pot of coffee in a cafetière then put it in the fridge and just use it with milk. If I don’t have any cooled I do the same but add milk then lots of ice cubes

I've got a hand held frappe machine similar to a milk frother that I bought in Cyprus- home of the frappe 😆. You can get them on eBay/Amazon though. The way to make them, as learned there is to add instant coffee, dash of water then any sugar or syrup, whizz it the add the rest. I do all milk but you can add half milk, half water or all water, plus an handful of ice if you like
