Do they have discretionary tools at their disposal?

• Gym membership (not sure this is still a thing?
• Local groups

Anything else?

Hi what are you thinking when you say discretionary tools? I work in the NHS with a specialist bariatric team. If you meet criteria to be referred, it's something like BMI over so much plus at least one disabling condition due to your weight. If you qualify you see a nurse specialist/dietitian/consultant in medicine and surgery. They decide the next steps.

What have you tried? I think GP's are fairly limited especially in light of the state of the NHS. Often bariatric surgery can be one of the first things to be cancelled.
