Inspired by lots of people mentioning their fantastic mattresses on the ‘What comforts…’ thread. We need to replace ours but the choice is overwhelming. If you love your mattress please share what kind you have.🙂

Following!

I have had a Sealy orthopaedic for 10 years and now in the market for a replacement. It's been great, quite firm which i like

Oh following! I’ve just been away and the bed had a fabulously comfy thick topper on the which I loved. Felt like i sank right in but was still supported…that’s the kind of thing I’d like. I should’ve looked to see what it was but I was scared to pull back the protectors in case it wasn’t clean underneath-would rather be in blissful ignorance!

I've got a Sensaform from Benson's and I love it.

I have this one in a double and I love it. It's on the firm side of medium and just right for me. You do need an extra deep fitted sheet, but once that is on, no wrinkles either.

We’ve gone for a TheraPur ActiGel® Polar 2600 Mattress

tried it in store - it’s firm, but with a thick gel layer, which keeps us cool, and also does that soft sinking feeling, but with the spring support underneath

Do you use a topper with that? Or does it defeat the point?

HotToddyColdSauvignon · 10/01/2023 16:33

No, our old mattress we used a thick topper from soak and sleep, but this one the gel is almost the topper of that makes sense?

Certainly haven’t needed one at any rate

IKEA VÅGSTRANDA in the firm option.

I love it although it did feel a bit firm to begin with.

John Ryan by Design Artisan Legacy Two. Their mattresses are handmade in Yorkshire and surprisingly affordable considering.

My mattress is awful, but I couldn’t afford a new one so I bought a mattress topper from
dormeo. Best decision ever! Love it!
