Planning to go to Krakow for a long weekend at the end of February and looking for some hints, please!

Restaurants / bars / cool places / hotels (I especially like old, quirky boutique-type hotels).

Many thanks in advance!

Avoid Lost Souls Alley unless fortified by vodka

The Jewish cemetery is fascinating. The salt mines are worth a visit. You can walk around most of the churches and I'd recommend doing so. They're all huge and beautiful.

Went to Krakow a few years ago and stayed at the Hotel Unicus Palace which we loved. The location was brilliant and there was the loveliest pool and spa in the basement which was great to go and chill out in for an hour after all the walking!!

We walked a lot and visited Auschwitz and the salt mines. Also this was our favourite restaurant, brilliant food www.notaresto.pl/

It's one of my favourite city breaks, you'll have a great time! We got a train from the airport which was really easy and extremely cheap.

Hamsa (restaurant) and Cheder (cafe), both in Kazimierz.

If you're mentally up for it: Auschwitz.

Gin Mill a tiny but awesome gin and cocktail bar.

My 2 favourite places were Auschwitz and the Salt Mines. Auschwitz was extremely emotional but a definite must if you’re in Krakow.

You’ll be spoilt for choice with places to eat and drink though!

Enjoy!

Zapiekarnia (outdoor food market)
Kolanko No 6 (Restaurant)
Fabryka Pizzy (pizza!!)

We stayed in an AirBNB. There are some very nice ones at reasonable prices.

We did all the touristy bits. There was a guided tour around the walled city parts and it it was excellent. We learned a ton of history that I had no idea existed. Salt mines and Auschwitz-Birkenau.
