Heads up ADHD posters struggling to access the Neurodiversity section

There is now a "follow topic" option which lets you get notifications for new topics in a subject. I've activated mine, hopefully it helps me find posts in there! I understand why people wanted it hidden but it has made it a total ghost town for ADHD related posts.

Another tip is to pin any thread from that board in your 'threads I'm on' so it's always at the top - the topic is included as a link above the thread title so you can click in from 'I'm on' at any time to see what's new.

Ah, thanks!

I use the app and make use of the Topics section where I can access My Favourite topics quickly

I would never in a million years think to check from Threads I'm On Grin and that would only work until the thread fizzles out anyway. But, good idea if it does work for you.

If you pin it, it will stay there at the top forever - the one I have was last posted on in November. That's on desktop - I don't know if the app allows you to pin a thread.

BertieBotts · 10/01/2023 21:52

I didn't know you could pin threads to I'm on. Sorry I thought you just meant following it normally. I'll have to look at that.

I don't think that works on the app

Gingerkittykat · 10/01/2023 23:33

I searched for the neurodiversity section and couldn't find it.

Hiding the topic from active stops people like me accessing it.

BertieBotts · 11/01/2023 14:11

I completely agree Ginger :(

Sorry, I don't use the app but it sounds above like there is another way to highlight a topic on the app.

It's here BTW

www.mumsnet.com/talk/neurodiverse_mumsnetters

However, I notice that there have been several new posts since I "followed" it but no notification has shown up. So it doesn't work after all. Oh well.

I think maybe we should let posters with autism have their hidden section and we could have a new section just for ADHD which has bright flashing bold text and appears in Active twice as much Grin

OK it turned out I had disabled notifications probably because the red dot was annoying. I've enabled it now.
