Which vitamins?

Ok so I've had a rubbish run of health recently.

Want to start taking vitamins as I currently don't take anything. What's best? Just a regular multivitamin? What do people take to try and strengthen their immune systems a bit?

There's so many out that and by the looks of things you could spend a fortune

Consult your GP and have a blood test.

If you eat a good balanced diet, the only vitamin you need is vitamin D, daily between October and April, as you won’t get enough from sunlight in the UK during winter.
And as PP says, if your health is poor, you need to see your GP.

Spatone in orange juice first thing (iron supplement that is easy to digest.)
Vitamin D
Collagen
Propolis
Sometimes a berocca and/or a multivitamin/ magnesium.

Thanks all.

I have see the GP and had various bloods and other tests done. I have long covid and various health professionals have asked if I take supplements but not really given much direction as to what I should take.

I already take iron as that is low

My sympathy, OP,- I have had long Covid for nearly three years. Nothing seems to
make any difference, apart from pacing one’s activities and trying to avoid overexertion.
Gradually increasing one’s exercise limit is helpful - I have slowly increased from breathless at 100 yards (when I was discharged from the Covid ward) to being able to walk three miles on a good day.

But any sustained activity- like recently hosting Christmas, with endless preparation, tree dressing, cooking, bed making and cleaning, left me on the sofa for days.

I was just about to start an almost identical thread, OP. Would love to know the same, after my 2year old has brought home about 8 different lurgies in the last 3 months, and I've got every single one of them. I'm currently down again and feeling awful.

We eat varied, balanced diets, he takes a kids multivitamin daily throughout the year, and I take Vit C and Zinc, but my immune system is shot to pieces.

I just take an A-Z multivitamin/ minerals from Asda/ Sainsburys, which are very cheap but contain everything necessary

I take a vegan multivitamin and flaxseed oil tablets to get Omegas.

I've noticed actually since taking the flaxseed oil tablets my hair loss has reduced A LOT!
