Waiting for 9 year old to come round from anaesthetic

Normally I would be chatting to the other parents but he's had a 4 hour operation so we are the only ones in the children's bit of the day surgery unit. So I'm just sat here watching him sleep and watching out for signs he is going to throw up again. It's a very boring and lonely time. Also trying to Google climbing frames for older children as our one is creaking a lot and probably won't last much longer. Dh is not convinced it would be worth the money though as our youngest is 8. We have a 12 year old who has adhd though and uses our current swing/climbing frame most days still. Tbh I can imagine he will still want to be climbing and swinging for a good few years yet.

The times drags so much when you are waiting for them to wake. Fingers crossed for no more vomit!

Our DC used the swings to their late teens. Mainly for hanging and pull ups, but they loved still having it. Money well spent I say!

Hope your DC is fully round soon.

Mine outgrew their swings and climbing frame about that age but the large trampoline.. a good quality one.. lasted through GCSEs and beyond!! (and was excellent for my ADHD-er ) It finally bit the dust when the oldest was at University. Just a thought, as an alternative!
Hope your DS wakes up soon and no vomit!

Thankyou. We already have a big trampoline that gets used even more than the climbing frame, even the 16 year old who is normally a bit of a sloth will have a bounce once or twice a week during the summer months. Ds is still sleeping, waking occasionally to puke, but he is home and on the sofa now so I can share puke bowl duty with dh.
