Which area would you say is best for seeing the main sights ? Somewhere that feels nice area. I don’t really know London well at all. We are arriving into King’s Cross station . Want to stay in a nice hotel nice area, we don’t want to search for somewhere super cheap. Although, not £1k per night or anything like that.

I don't know any hotels, bu Bloomsbury is a beautiful, atmospheric cobbled-streets sort of area. V close to the British Museum too, and easy walking distance to Covent Garden and West End.
Shoreditch/Spitalfields is amazing for olde world/character – fabulous Huguenot houses and little streets. It's also v close to Liverpool St station for the Central Line, which gets you into the West End and west London.

Once you’ve done a search for your dates on booking.com, one of the filters lets you specify the minimum number of beds. It’s not always accurate but it can help.
