Insurance claim closed accidentally

Hello,

I had an home insurance claim open since November. I was disputing the cash settlement. I’ve just logged in to provide some more quotes to find my claim has been closed as I hadn’t responded in five working days (I missed the deadline by an hour).

Is there anything I can do? Do I have any rights? They acknowledged I was due repairs and this was clearly an oversight on my part.

Thanks for any advice.

It should be fine to call them and send your quotes. They will re-open it for you.

Thanks both! I’ve been in a queue for about 20 minutes. Just needed to know what to say in case they play hardball.

I'm sure they will reopen it.

If they refuse ask what the escalation process is and who you need to speak to to take it further, but i'm sure it won't come to that.
