Am I getting the flu lurgy?

I have a scratchy through, starting to get sore. I have a sore ear.

My body is vaguely achey and my nose and eyes a bit runny.

I’ve taken some painkillers and come up to bed. Is there a chance it will have vanished by morning?

Mine started like this yesterday. Now I can hardly swallow and it feels like tonsillitis or a very nasty bug. I feel dreadful 😞

Sounds like it... everyone I know has had it and actually still has it.

Sore throat, watery eyes, infrequent cough, bunged up (ears unpopped, hearing etc), weakness.

Negative covid test.

That's how mine started on Christmas eve, Christmas day I stayed in bed, lost my voice, felt like tonsillitis for a couple of a days but throat got better. Felt really rough for a week, still getting dizzy spells.

You might be in for it for a few days I'm afraid.

Symptoms sound the same as mine. I came down with it 1st December, felt better by 22nd, enjoyed Christmas feeling recovered then came down with identical symptoms all over again last Wednesday. 5 days in now and seems to be passing through the stages quicker, though I was a right off Friday and Saturday. I tested positive for covid Saturday. The first time round I had the same symptoms but each stage lasted longer, it took 3 weeks to get rid of the hoarse voice and cough but tests were all negative for covid. I hope you feel better soon. Rest, don't stress and eat well if you can 💐

I am on Day 6 of the beast now and only just starting to pick up. No taste or smell either but negative COVID test 😐

Mine started like this over 2 weeks ago and I've still got it. I'm feeling slightly better but still rough.

My ears went really strange and tickly and i.felt extremely dizzy and fatigue.

I’ve been coughing a lot this morning and have a ropey voice, but don’t feel as awful as I was expecting.
