How do I sign an electronic document?

I've received an email with a form I need to sign and return. The document has no 'clickability'. Right now it looks like I'll have to print it out, sign it & scan it in again, which is a pita. Also I need to sort out printer drivers as I'm working off a new computer. Is there an easy way to sign this document?

Few options I'd explore:

1. will they accept you replying to the email confirming your agreement rather than a signature?
2. can they send it via docusign or equivalent system? 3 can you get a free adobe trial to enable you to edit pdfs or convert them to word?

If you have an iPhone you can take a screenshot and add an electronic signature via editing.

Sometimes they will just accept you typing your name in the box or sending an email confirming your agreement with the document. If depends what the document is and who it is for really.

If you’re on a laptop you could screenshot it, open the screenshot in Paint and then type a signature using the text tool?
