As the title says im still trying to get thru the house work i intended to start at 10 this morning, I haven't actually left the house all-day 🙈
I stop/start distracting myself with anything and everything.
Im actually annoyed with myself And so undisciplined.. im not one for doing as you go and leave it all to the weekend and then I just barely get the bare minimum done 😭
I didn't sleep the worst last night but i just feel totally zonked now.
Arrrghhhh

I feel your pain. I have been putting off clipping my toenails for 3 days

Sarahlp101 · 07/01/2023 20:12

No advice sadly, but solidarity as I'm exactly the same!

Spect8 · 07/01/2023 20:17

It's alright, you are not alone. Just do the vital bits. Sit down and drink coffee if you feel like it. Do what I do and write wonderful lists, that is something achieved!

Today I cleared out the cupboard under the sink. It was the last item on my "list" but nearest the kettle ha ha. Once that was done, I clapped myself on the back and sat down for the rest of the day and pootled around the internet dreaming of flights to Rome on my own. Found a great deal on Skyscanner and a hotel to match. As usual, procrastinating and will book it another day. If ever! But better than sorting out the freezer for sure.

I'll get around to it.

I've managed to get the tree down kitchen benches done livingroom hoovered and two loads of washing done... they have been dumped in the spare room with the rest of the laundry that needs sorted.. now i think il have a glass of wine and make a better attempt tomorrow 🥴
Woman I work was telling me the other day she does her skirting boards every Saturday.. totally cheesed me off lol i moved in to my apartment just shy of 18months and they've never been done 🙈

@Tess3 honestly I don't think I've ever done my skirting in the 5 years I've lived here.

I hoover the dust with the brush attachment from time to time but I haven't actually sprayed and wiped them down.

I have 2 DDs and I've finally given in and hired a cleaner to come every week. I'll ask her to give the skirting a shot!

Tess3 · 07/01/2023 20:35

Currently I can't see my bed as everything I own is on it. There are bin bags all over the bedroom floor and no room to walk. I'm knackered, I want to go to bed with a cup of tea but I have to finish this first. I decided to do this at 6pm. FFS. 🙄

Tess3 · 07/01/2023 20:43

@RJnomore1 oh i had to the fear of someone visiting unannounced ( as my parents often do bless them ) was too much lol i just done the public places il see about the others in the morning 😆

100% not just you. My plans today were cancelled so apart from spending 1 hour in town I've been home alone all day with a long to do list.

My day has gone like this:
Lie in bed watching tv and sorting out some notebooks until 11.
Town until 12:30
Take down 1/4 of decorations in the living room.
Drink tea and look at phone.
Take down decorations is conservatory.
FaceTime my mum, then sister, then friend.
Take down some more decs in the living room, find one that had been missing when putting them in the box.
Sort through my baubles and rearrange the boxes they go in 🙄
Spend ages looking for a particular candle
Take down the rest of the decs but not put them away properly
Have some food and watch tv
Play on my phone

The things I should have completed by now are
A load of washing
Pairing socks
Cleaning bathroom
All decs down and put away
Dust and hoover through
Some form of exercise

No idea why, I just can't seem to get off my arse and get going.
