Tesco clubcard vouchers for a railcard?

Has anyone used clubcard vouchers to get a railcard?

Is it easy to do?

I've read reviews and some people say it doesn't work - whilst others say it does.

If you've successfully done this - talk md through the process please.

Yes, I've done it several times.
You need to use the vouchers on the Tesco website first to get a code for the railcard you want. You get the code by email with a link to the railcard site (which seems to be a separate site for different railcards - mine was www.senior-railcard.co.uk)
Choose 'Buy Now', select 1 year as duration and choose whether you want a plastic or digital railcard.
Enter your code in the promotional code box, click Apply code & select who the railcard is for. You need to register/login in to continue. You then get a plastic card through the post or a download code with instructions on how to download if you chose digital.
It was relatively simple - I think people having problems may not have realised they need to register with the railcard site to complete the purchase.

I want to use them so my teen can habd the card

As I recall the "correct" method wasn't working when I did it last year and I ended up have to ring them. I think I looked on Twitter and a few had had the same trouble. They did it though.

Used it to get a young persons railcard for both my daughters many times now very easy no problem

Annoyingly I got the code for my son who I'd asked if he wanted it, only for him to realise that he got a 3 year rail card at the start of uni.
I should try and sell it!

Yes. I've done it many times for my two DCs.
Order the voucher on Clubcard website and you will receive a code.
I would then buy the railcard from the we site you are directed to on the phone your dc will have with them and get the online card. They'll always have it with them then and can't lose it.

I managed to do it, the code didn't work when going thru the process on my phone yet it did on my teens phone, so all good in the end.

It was a mightily frustrating process to get there though.

But the teen is good to go for a year's discount rail travel now. Such a bargain!

Just wanted to add they are very good at getting back to you if there are any issues with the card, they reply to emails very promptly. I was pretty impressed.
