Reheating food - lasagne help please!

Hi please can someone advise re reheating rules.

I’ve made lasagne. Cooked filling for a long time, assembled dish with layers etc - this took ages as I made the bechemel and mince had cooled quite a bit. I’m baking it now.

Does this mean I have heated the mice twice? So if there are leftovers can I freeze portions which will then be heated again when the time comes?

Thank you

It’s fine - I cook the mince before assembling then bake in the oven 30-40 mins to finish it.

Then pop cooled portions into the freezer, defrost when you want them and reheat 5ish mins in microwave.

I probably wouldn't put mice in a lasagne.(sorry....)

@Iwritethissittinginthekitchensink thank you. I’d normally do the same, mince still very hot when assembling. But this time I had let it cool a little bit.

I would still freeze leftovers for reheating later

It's absolutely fine. It would only maybe be an issue if you had left the cooked mince in the fridge for days before making the lasagne and even then would likely be fine. Beef is one of the safest meats.

Fabulous, thanks all.
