My eldest was around 9 i think.

Malariahilaria · 07/01/2023 16:32

9 I think. Still happy to get a cuddly toy in stocking but no longer interested in toys at all. Digital has taken over. Very happy with experiences though.

Vanillaradio · 07/01/2023 16:44

I have a 9 year old and it very much depends on the toy-he's grown out of a lot but he still enjoys lego or kits to build things, things like electrical circuit kits or chemistry experiment sets and cuddly toys- although he doesn't play with those like he used to, just sleeps under a pile of them!

Fedupnowhadenough · 07/01/2023 16:45

My 9 year old dd still plays with dolls occasionally

JJJSchmidt · 07/01/2023 16:46

D is 8 and will play with her sister but when alone she will generally choose to write, draw, read or do something crafty.

TeenDivided · 07/01/2023 16:47

DD1 never really played with toys.
DD2 was a teenager.

BebbanburgIsMine · 07/01/2023 16:52

Both DDs were teenagers around 13/14.

DD2 still loves her soft toys

Frith2013 · 07/01/2023 17:06

Still occasionally using Lego, trains, crafts etc. My oldest is 22...

stargirl1701 · 07/01/2023 17:08

Still going strong here at 10 and 8.

ElbowsandArses · 07/01/2023 17:11

My 15 yo got all his Lego out yesterday. But they were all in Y8 give or take before they were ready to let their toys go. We still have cuddly toys around, Lego, train set. They are all teens.

CJCreggsGoldfish · 07/01/2023 17:13

DD is 11 - she stills enjoys building Lego and will then make stop motion videos. She’s very horsey so still sort of plays with her stables, but it’s more ordering and sorting them rather than playing as such.

Depends what you mean by play and toys.

Dd1 didn't really play with toys from about age 6 or 7, but liked a craft set, or activity until she was 11.
DD2 still will settle down with Sylvanian type things if she has an excuse of a younger cousin or similar. She also loves a soft toy or what my Gran would have called "something dinky". She's 19yo.
Ds is 15yo and still does Airfix models and Nerf guns given the choice. He was never really into toys other than soft toys, cars or the Brio train set though.

I'm 46 and haven't grown out of toys yet.

Yes I'm 53 and neither have I. I think many pretend they are no longer interested because of peer pressure.

Haha phew the last two PPs. You're my people.
