Are there any spiders in Avatar 2?

My son is scared of spiders so I won’t take him if there are scenes with spiders. Google tells me there is a character called Spider. Has anyone seen it could confirm if there are any actual or CGI arachnids please? Thanks

No idea but you are a lovely mother for checking! As an arachnophobe whose parents merely chuckled when I found a giant house spider IN MY BED I salute you.

Spider is just a character name. I don't remember any actual arachnids when I saw the film, as the title suggests, much of the action involved sea-creatures.

I've seen it and do not recall seeing any spiders (I don't like them myself and if there were any, I certainly didn't notice)
The character Spider is a human who lives in the Pandora world.

Definitely opt for a 3D showing if you can - it's worth the extra money IMO.

@RoseAndGeranium thanks for your kind comment. What happened to you sounds awful! Sorry to hear you weren’t taken seriously. It’s not uncommon though, my partner says my son (who is 11) should ‘man up’ 🙄

Oof, that whole ‘get over it’ and ‘man up’ thing is so unhelpful. It’s a really awful fear to have so as he gets older it might be good to encourage him to attend one of those ‘arachnophobia cure’ courses they run at places like ZSL but at 11 there’s not much he can do about it! Anyway, I hope he really enjoys his mumsnet certified spider free film!

Just seen it today. There are no spiders. A character spider tho. The closest to a spider is a vehicle shaped a bit like a crab and moves like a crab
