How can Evri in all conscience just hold a parcel indefinitely & not deliver it?

Is there no consequence for them indefinitely delaying a parcel? My order has been with then since 8th November & the tracking just says sorry but delayed. I'm beginning to wonder if a batch of deliveries hasn't been stolen & opened. The seller isn't interested and has closed their shop. Luckily PayPal refunded me. Evri confirm they received it but now just sit silent. Super poor service.

When this happens in all likelihood they dont know where it is. Its either been damaged and thrown away, stolen or lost. If they had it sitting in the warehouse where it was supposed to be they would have delivered it by now. They only really bother themselves if the sender gets I touch as that's who their contact is with so if your sender isn't around anymore then nothing will happen.

Yup, they don't care.I've had two wine deliveries like this recently. Luckily, the wine companies in both cases were happy to simply send out a new order but apparently it happens all the time. As it's never happened with other deliveries, I can't help wondering if it's actually being stolen at the courier company depots.

I’ve just had exactly the same with a parcel from Lakeland. when I reported it they didn’t seem very surprised, just said they’d send out a duplicate order using a different courier.

I sold something on eBay and posted through Packlink/Evri because of the Royal Mail strikes and it went missing. No one could give me an answer where it was. I got a refund but I had to let down the buyer and an item went missing that my dad had bought me when I was a child (collectible car) and I wanted it to go to someone who would like it.

Ahh that's interesting I've just had to report a delivery to Lakeland from evri that's been stuck 'delayed' for the last few days.

I'm also waiting on a Lakeland delivery. Evri tracking says they tried to deliver but I was out. No I definitely wasn't. No attempt to re-deliver. It's been 6 days since the supposed attempted delivery.
