Blue Badge Parking NCP car parks

Specifically Harlow train station car park, ran by NCP. It states free parking for disabled users, does anyone know how that works please? Does it have to be in one of the disabled bays, or if they are all taken will any bay do?

I would imagine that if all bays are taken, then parking in a normal bay will be fine as long as you display your Blue Badge

I would see if the NCP car parks have a website to check.

I call them National Cowboy Parks and would not trust them one inch.

It's usually only free if you park in the blue badge spaces.

Thanks, I did take a look but it wasn't really clear. I also don't really trust them so don't want to be smacked with a penalty Sad

It is only free if you are parked in a blue badge space. If in a regular space you need to pay like normal.

I learned this the hard way!

It has to be in a blue badge bay

Wow, so if all the blue badge spaces are full (some doubtless by people without blue badges*) and you are disabled, you then have to pay for a normal space, most of which are really difficult for a disabled person eg a wheelchair user to get in or out of? That's terrible.

The whole point is so that disabled people don't have to haul
themselves over to a pay machine (in pain, unable to walk far, let alone if the machine is broken).

But if some selfish non-disabled person has taken the last blue badge space because they'll "only be ten minutes" then the disabled person has to park in a normal space and pay? That's disgraceful.

before you attack me for saying that non-disabled people park in blue badge spaces, they do. I see it literally every single day* where I live. I ask them to move because it's the only space I can use and they always say "oh I'm just moving, I was only quick". Lazy selfish fuckers.
