Period swimwear suitable for 12 year old.

We are going away next month, dd 12 is likely to be on her period. A big part of the holiday will be swimming. She is reluctant to try tampons. I have just been looking at some period swimwear, and wondered if anyone had any recommendations please? I wondering if she might feel most comfortable with a pair of the bikini bottoms under her regular swimsuit? Thanks.

I've used modibandi before. I have the bikini bottoms which are rather brief so I put them under some more robust hides more of my lumps and bumps bikini bottoms. I think they came with two inserts. Which you rinse out. You can get extra inserts

My girls have had modibodi swimsuits which have worked well. The older one couldn't see anything she liked on the website when she outgrew her last one so now uses their bikini bottoms under her regular swimming costume which she's happy with.

We tried a couple of brands and Modibodi was the best.

DD just wore Modibodi bikini bottoms with her normal bikini top last summer. They worked well, she had no issues.

My 27 year old uses mod bod says there brilliant.

Ruby Love. At 12yo my DD wouldn’t fit into any period swimwear or period undies as they were/are extremely slight. This was the only brand that made sizes small enough to be snug enough and not baggy. The bonus was also colourful swimwear in funky teen patterns and styles as opposed to the straight black for most period swimmers. DD never had an issue with leakage and still buys this brand nearly a decade later (US but ships quickly, and can order express if needed).
