Cystitis... How long?!

I've got cystitis and have been taking Macrobid for a day and a half. I'm feeling somewhat better but it is still stinging when I pee a bit. When will it start to feel better? I'm panicking the prescription isn't working

How much water are you drinking? You can't underestimate how much water helps flush it through

It feels like I'm drinking tons! Close to 2L?

It sounds like the antibiotics are working, just keep going and if they haven't helped after the course is complete, you may need a different type

You shouldn't drink too much water it will dilute the antibiotic in your urine and make it less effect. How long is you course? if it is 3 days it may not be enough but you might have to be assertive to get more but trust me you don't want to end up with an embedded infection which seems to be becoming more common now GPs only prescribed for 3 days.
