Has anyone else had one? How did it work? Did you find it useful?

I’ve seen them online and looked into them - don’t know if the program was the same but it was high protein / low carb and workouts, IIRC. I remember thinking it wouldn’t work for me because I’m a bit of a carb monster (which probably explains the size of my arse).

dont k ow about the NHS version though and if it’s any different.

I haven’t had an NHS referral but did personally pay for the Second Nature programme last year. The reason I didn’t end gp doing it was it was expensive but an NHS referral will be great.

The coaches are fab and it really teaches you about how to build a good relationship with food, what a healthy meal looks like, understanding the components of food. Also if covers things like sleep, exercise and mental health and isn’t just about food and focusing on calories.

If its low carb I'll be happy. Also if it addresses the reasons behind overeating etc. I can lose weight very easily by being too restrictive, but it's not sustainable.

Has anyone else any experience? Just wondering what will happen now I've been referred

Hi I'm on it.

Bemyclementine · 08/02/2023 13:22

How is it @Scaredofmynipple ? When the email came through it actually didn't give me the option of second nature, but asked me to choose between 3 other (all useless) options. So was actually no help at all.

I chose it, as an NHS worker. I got confused by all of the options as well. But it's good so far. Low carb. No calorie counting. I'm starting next week properly..but lots of meal plans. Exercises etc.

Bemyclementine · 13/02/2023 10:25

@Scaredofmynipple How's it going? I ended up signing up and paying. I'm impatient to get started though and finding the locked articles frustrating.

I'm in my first week you just read the articles daily and focus on them. Good exercises and nice to see a proper balanced plate.

@Scaredofmynipple how are you doing now.? I'm not doing so well. Healthy meals, terrible snacks. No weight loss.
